You are the provider of an e-market or you want to carry out transactions on an e-market, for example conducting a purchase in a B2B-environment, consumer e-shop or auction. You want to be certain that the person who agreed to buy or sell something for a certain price, completes the transaction eventually.

The GTA offers an infrastructure of trust where the equivalent of existing contractual relationships can be used. The GTA members offer the opportunity to use digital signatures for signing electronic documents. These are the equivalent of a written signature. Through the GTA hierarchy, it enables the interoperability that is already evident in the 'paper world'.
